In middle of September Hill Roofing replaced roof in my home. I had been in the process of looking for the right roofing for a couple of month, with many hours spent researching and reading reviews from Google, Angie’s List Super Service and Better Business Bureau, I found Hill Roofing based on all of its glowing reviews and best rate scores. Getting an estimate from Leslie, who came to the house, was a true professional and very knowledgeable about the GAF product, which is the only product Hill Roofing will use to replace roof. He was patient enough to explain what a process of roof was like, what kind of shingle is used for what part of the roof, what kind of options GAF can provide to make roof lasts longer, and what would be covered by Hill Roofing’s ten years warranty. The roof product were ordered and date scheduled for install in a quick time. The installer team was very professional, friendly and left my home/yard clean after their work was done. Hill Roofing sent their project manager Geo to my home after the roof replacement. He walked me through the process, showed me some pictures about the roof processing, and answered my question about why there was gap between my home roof and my neighbor’s. Hill Roofing is a great company. They are very customer focused, have a professional crew, install high quality products, and they do excellent work. I highly recommend.

Mr. Hill did a great job examining our roof and making a recommendation. He came highly praised by a neighbor whose roof he recently replaced, and spent several hours explaining exactly what the job would entail and what products he recommended. I felt his examination was honest and complete. The crew arrived on time and spent 2.5 days removing and replacing the roof, gutters and a skylight. I was glad to see the crew was careful to use safety harnesses, and the crew chief let them take a 2 hour break in the middle of the day to get out of the hot sun on 90 degree days. Lots of noise couldn't be helped, but they did a great cleanup and the new roof and gutters look great! Should be the last roof I ever need on this house.

I have already recommended Hill Roofing to a friend who had concerns about his roof. The employees go above and beyond to serve their customers and it would be worth using Hill Roofing even if they were several hundred dollars more expensive than the competition. The time had come to replace my roof of 20+ years. I searched through Angie’s List, Google, and Yelp to find reputable companies and obtained a few quotes. Mr. Hill came and looked at my roof and took the time to educate me on the materials used, gave me options, and explained the process. He then provided me with a quote, which was on par with the others quotes I received. It was a little more expensive, but in direct comparison to the quotes from the other companies, Hill Roofing used materials that were more substantial. Mr. Hill is obviously very proud of the business he has built and the people that work with him, as he should be. After Mr. Hill sent me the initial estimate, I contacted the company asking about an Angie’s List discount and some follow up questions. I went back and forth with Angela several times (17) with additional questions and pricing changes based on my choosing different material. Angela was always very courteous, professional, and replied quickly. I have a gazebo in my back yard whose roof was punctured by a tree branch. I had been trying for a long time to find a single matching shingle, but I could not find anyone who would sell individual shingles, I would have to purchase a full bundle of 29 shingles. I contacted Angela and explained what I was trying to do. I asked if they happen to have any leftover shingles in that color if they could drop it off so I could replace the damaged shingle. A short while later, Angela contacted me back and said they had some extra and would be happy to bring a few with them when they replaced my roof. WIN! Another point for Hill Roofing in the Customer Service department! After my wife and I signed the estimate/proposal, we were able to quickly schedule the work to be done. On the day of the tear off/replacement, the crew arrived at about 6am and were quietly having breakfast in their trucks. We were up well before 6am; I greeted them and gave them the ‘go-ahead’ to start early (they initially planned to start at 7am). There was the threat of thunderstorms for later in the day as well as high temperatures once the sun came up. They promptly started and made quick work of the tear off. Throughout the day, I received a few calls from Edwin, the project manager, keeping me updated on the progress and reported that none of the decking needed replacement (an easy thing for an unscrupulous company to cheat on at $70 a sheet). Once I arrived home, the roof was complete, the crew had cleaned up, and the roof looked amazing! There was very little sign (debris/trash/nails, etc.) that such a major undertaking had gone on that day. A few days later, Edwin returned and walked the property with me and showed me pictures taken during the entire process (I paid for an upgrade for the underlayment and he had pictures that it had been put on). I also asked Edwin about the extra shingles for my gazebo… THEY REPLACED THE BROKEN SHINGLE ON THE GAZEBO FOR ME!!!!! One less pain in the @$$ home project I didn’t have to do myself! Choosing Hill Roofing was definably a win and I could not have been happier with the process or the results! I now have a beautiful, more efficient roof that will last for a long time. We had a windstorm in March 2018 that damaged a portion of our roof. The insurance adjuster evaluated it and claimed it was only partial damage and would cover less than our deductible. They would not give us recommendations for roofers, so we had to search ourselves. The first two roofers were happy to help, claimed that the shingles could not be matched and asked us to negotiate with our insurance company. One even gave us a price of $18000 to replace the roof. After the insurance company stood firm, we never heard from those companies again. Hill roofing was different. Mr. Hill came out and met with us and explained the whole process. He also said the shingle would be hard to match. But he told us how to talk to our insurance company. We were able to send the shingle to a lab and they found matching (close enough) shingles. Unlike the other companies, Hill Roofing immediately responded to schedule the smaller job. The work was done quickly and well. I will recommend this company to anyone who needs roofing done. Mr. Hill was professional, prompt, and an excellent counselor throughout a challenging process.
